SILENT FEATURES OF IMPORTANT PROJECTS COMPLETED BY US

 1.         Industrial Building

Construction of industrial building & workshops in private sector having covered area approx. 25000 Sq.feet completed in 1986.

 Client:  Transmission Engineering Industries (Pvt.) Ltd., Hub, Baluchistan, Pakistan.

 2.         Rehabilitation & laying of new 48” dia Pipeline

Rehabilitation and laying of new 48” dia PRCC pipeline having length of 2000 meters including installation of Steel Syphons, Specials, Bends, Sockets etc. excavation in rough sub-soil condition for the trench & dewatering.

·        Underground excavation upto 14feet depth = 56981 Cu.m

·        Underground Rock cutting = 18554 Cu.m

·        Underground Dewatering = 38193 Cu.m

·        Underground Concrete Placement = 1322 Cu.m

Project (Contract 9C) was financed by the I.D.A. (World Bank) and completed in 1990.

3.         Installation of Potable Water Conveyance System by Laying of 84”, 66” 54” and 33” dia PRCC Pipes

            Under Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme, Completed project under contract-4 for the balance Conveyance System required 70 MGD (million gallon /day) transmission of potable water to the city of Karachi having a population of 14 million peoples. Scope of work includes Transportation, Laying / Jointing of PRCC Pipes, Construction of service road, RCC transition chambers, RCC conduits, RCC channels, Laying of Syphons, Preparation of concrete encasing, Steel specials from 102” to 12” sizes of distribution outlets, Fixing of heavy butterfly valves from 48” dia to 36” dia.

·        Construction of Service Road = 19482 meters (Including Road Culverts, Crossing of Services, Road Cuttings, Malir River Crossing having 1000 meters bed, alongwith flood protection works etc.)

·        Underground Excavation upto 40feet depth =697,00 Cu.m

·        Underground Rock Excavation = 181,437 Cu.m

·        Underground Excavation below water table = 541,832 Cu.m

·        Back Filling of the trenches after laying of pipes = 342,656 Cu.m

·        Disposal of surplus excavated stuff beyond 10 K.M. = 107,830 Cu.m

·        Cutting of Bushes, Trees site clearance = 453,540 Cu.m

·        Bailing & Pumping Out Water from 14feet wide trench = 9417 R.Meters

·        Placement of Concrete for underground works i.e. RCC Conduits, Channels, Bends & Transition = 6500 Cu.m

·        Laying of Steel Pipes 84” & 33” dia pipes, fabrication of Penstock gates, Steel specials, Tees, Sockets, Bends etc.

Project was completed and commissioned in 1999 financed by the Government of Pakistan.

4.         Pumping Station

Construction of 30MGD potable water pumping station at Khawaja Ajmer Nagri and 10MGD pumping station at Board Office Chowrangi, Karachi, including fixing of valves, distribution pipelines making connections, all civil, mechanical and electrical works. Project was completed and commissioned in 1999 financed by the Government of Pakistan.

5.         Raising of Bank Greater Karachi 580 Cusec R.C.C. Canal

Scope of work spread almost over 20 K.M. alongwith the existing Canal embankment on both sides

·        Earthen Embankment (Raising of Bund) with earth taken from approved borrow pits: 27000 Cu.m

·        Situ work in “C” class concrete: 1202 Cu.m

Project financed by Government of Pakistan and completed in 1999.

6.         Cross Country Steel Pipeline

Scope of work includes providing, laying and jointing of Black Steel Pipe 300mm dia API5L Grade X-42. The Pipeline is laid in the desert of Tharparkar, Province of Sindh.

·        Length of Pipeline = 46238 meters

·        Providing, Laying & Jointing Black Steel Pipe 12” (300mm) Dia. Conforming to API 5L Grade-X42 = 151,661.00 Rft. (46,238.00 meters)

·        Jungle clearance and removing = 1,843,385.00 Sqft

·        Earth work excavation in ashes, Sand soft soil (Sand dunes) = 835,082.00 Cft

·        Excavation for Pipeline in trenches and Pits in hard soil. = 383,616.00 Cft

·        Excavation for Pipeline in trenches and Pits in soft soil = 299,965.00 Cft

·        Excavation for Pipeline in trenches and Pits in sandy soil = 3,053,853.00 Cft

·        Refilling the excavated stuff in trenches 6” thick Layers = 3,364,831.00 Cft

·        Excavation in foundation of building bridges & other structure = 38,373.00 Cft

·        Cement concrete plain including placing compacting finishing & curing                = 1,779.00 Cft

·        Pucca bricks in foundation and plinth in cement, sand & mortar 1:6 = 7,567.00 Cft.

·        Cement concrete plain including placing, compacting finishing and curing in 1:2:4 ratio = 1,384.00 Cft.

·        R.C.C. work including all labour and material except the cost of steel reinforcement       = 995.00 Cft.

The project was completed and commissioned in December-2001
